week 7

This article is about, a Broadway producer choosing a well known actress (Abigail Breslin) to play Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker, instead of an actual death/blind actress. It’s not that there aren’t any in the acting world, they in fact have their own community among other actors. It’s the fact that now a days to pull in a great enough audience you need some star power to pull in some ticket sells.

That tells of how our spending habits/ patterns are in today’s society, we don’t want to feel like we’re wasting our money and truthfully a blind/death actress wouldn’t be a guarantee of a good performance, even though they would be able to produce a completely realistic performance.
